Review: freezeframe BB blur

I’m a huge fan of BB Creams for a few reasons. First, how easy they are to apply, the way they make your skin look and the benefits they present to your skin. Making it my personal mission to test as many as I can, when I came across freezeframe’s BB BLUR I was intrigued and had to try it.

Unlike BB creams which are tinted and feature a creamy consistency, this product has a gel formula which is clear and filled with white beads that burst when rubbed into the skin. On the Freeze Frame website, this product is described as ‘An Instagram filter for your face’ so I had to try it.

Product: freezeframe BB BLUR

What it does: This clear BB Gel is designed to transform your skin in 60 seconds. It covers imperfections, corrects skin tone, hydrates while mattifying, protects, and airbrushes imperfections such as redness, enlarged pores and skin discolouration. While this product perfects the skin short term, it also features some long term benefits and is clinically proven to boost collagen production, increase luminosity and radiance and reduce wrinkles in 15 days.

freezeframe BB BLUR is formulated using Kakadu Plum sourced from outback Australia. This fruit thrives in one of the world’s harshest environments and has developed the highest levels of Vitamin C of any fruit in the world making it a potent antioxidant.

Results: I have to admit I wasn’t sure how well this product would work when I saw it was a gel with white beads. Due to its gel consistency and the fact the beads need to burst on the skin, its best to apply this product with your fingers. Within a few seconds of applying, you’ll notice the colour changes, and it begins adapting to your skin. My skin is relatively light, and I find it adjusts perfectly and is virtually undetectable. Within a minute you’ll notice your skin tone is improved and your overall complexion is glowing without looking oily. I find that within the first 10 minutes of applying BB Blur your appearance continues to get better. This product offers a light coverage, is easy to blend and saves time for anyone who applies makeup or BB cream with a brush. It applies evenly on the skin and is super light so you can’t even tell you’re wearing it. I like that this product has an inbuilt mattifier making it perfect for anyone with an oilier skin type or those of us who suffer from shine in the afternoon.

Overall freezeframe BB BLUR has exceeded my expectations and can safely say it delivers on its short terms benefits. As for the long-term benefits, we’ll have to wait and see. The only negative about this product is its size. It’s recommended you apply a pea-sized amount; however, I end up using more to ensure even and flawless coverage. While you don’t have to use this product with a moisturiser, I applied a light moisturiser beforehand.

Before Application

After application – approx 10 minutes. This photo is not touched up!

How to use: Apply to clean dry skin. Apply a small amount (less than a pea for your whole face) to fingertips and spread in a circular motion to break the beads.
